i've always been that
shoulder to cry on and
never the reason she's
crying
and maybe i'm selfish and
maybe i'm wrong for
wanting to be someone
else
i always told her i'd be
there for her and
of course i meant it
but some times i just
want it to be my
turn
my chance to be
given a chance
to make her
feel that bad
because honestly if
she's in need of
a shoulder to
cry on
then it must be real
and even when she's
broken down and i'm
trying my best
to comfort
i deep down wish
the reason she
was in my arms
was because she
wanted to be
not because she
needed to be
and maybe i'm selfish

but i just want to be the one
